Friday Sharing w/You - 2016 December 23 (Week #52)

Hello Friday Friends, 朋友, & PengYiu,
Wishing Everyone
(F)Fresh,
(S)Spontaneous
(Y) Yuletide & Christmas
Quick Quotable
Impatience kills relationships.

Quick Question
As the year is wrapping up did you accomplish all your professional goals in 2016?

Today Sharing:
If you have been following my weekly FSY posting: that is (F) Friday (S) Sharing w/ You.  In the past 51 weeks, I ended my sharing each week with one-word that follow by… “Until Next Friday, Be Patient

If you haven’t noticed it yet, you can refer all the 53 words (including next Friday word) at the end of the sharing.

The weekly hack to choose one word is, to sum up what we want to focus that week. Choose one word that describes the experience of your week’s activities that have an impact on and changes your habits every day in that week.

The possibilities are endless and there is no one way to practice. No matter how you choose to put it into practice, whether by planning a week-long or just a day, take advantage of this one-word method experience to make the most of your week.

You can choose your one word and asked how you want to tackle the question of, “How can I make more of my strength for this week?”

Today I stated in my sharing the word be ‘Patient’

As you are aware, with technologies advancing everything is (F)Fast, (S)Speed and (Y)You want it now. With on-demand services, you can get what you want in a matter of minutes. If you are searching for an answer to a subject that you don’t know, you need just to Google and instantly the answer appears in front of you. If you are driving and need a cup of coffee, you can easily get it at a drive-through café.  Uber arrives at your doorstep in a matter of minutes to take you anywhere you need to go. The list goes on and on.  When it comes to products, you are spoiled for choice and you demand it immediately.

Yes, Speed wins but impatience kills the relationship. Human is not products or Services.

So, this week, the last week of 2016, I’ve chosen the word, ‘Patient’. Today and the following days of the week. I am practicing more patience in my conversations. Patience with myself when a conversation doesn’t go the way I want it to. Patience with someone who brings an issue to me that seems unfounded. Patience with someone who gives me feedback to me something I don’t like to hear. Patience with (F)Family members, with (S)Strangers. And (Y)You, my friend.

How will you practice this word ‘Patient’ for the week?  Please share with me at daniel@qualipreneur.com

One Good example
If you are afraid of mountain trekking, patience might be a good example that you can use, is to let go of your anxiety of the (H) Horrible (A)And (T)Terrible (HAT) experience of mountain climbing that you had experienced.

Take off the old “HAT”. Allow yourself to be still, and remember that if you’re aligned with who you really are, all the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place at the right time. Differentiate between mountain climbing and trekking, change your old HAT to a new HAT (H)Hard work (A)Achieve (T)Tremendously. Spend some time in silence, and listen to the voice of your intuition, which is the voice of your true self. Sometimes you won’t be able to hear that voice, but be patient. Trust that you will receive the answers you seek in time. Finally, take the (F)First (S)Small step of (Y)Your walking up the staircase to your office or apartment instead of taking the lift.  The small milestones add to the joy of accomplishments.

“A journey of a thousand steps trekking a mountain begin with the (F)First (S)Step of (Y)Your” (tweaked the old original version of Lao Tzu.)

As we are all getting geared up for 2017. You can choose your own word or use the word listed. What’s Your One-Word per week for the New Year?
